Olio Nuovo Seafood Supper
A special evening dedicated to local seafood and freshly milled olio nuovo. Join us in welcoming Mona Johnson and Jaret Foster chef/owners of Portland catering company, Tournant. Each course is judiciously paired with Durant Olive Mill olio nuovo evoo and Durant Vineyards estate wine. The event will commence with fresh NW bay shrimp cocktail, Dungeness crab bisque, and Dungeness crab legs in olio nuovo from our favorite Oregon fisherman, Nick Edwards, owner of FV Carter Jon.
The classically trained chefs honed their craft cooking on both coasts and met while working for the Portland Farmers Market. Their approach to food reflects a sense of place and ceremony, drawing inspiration from the seasons and local bounty from the land and sea. Known for their emphasis on live-fire cooking and hands-on communal feasts, Jaret and Mona love to turn a meal into an experience. In addition to Tournant, Jaret and Mona are behind the very popular PDX Oyster Social events – a bespoke mobile oyster bar.
