Dahlia Watercolor Class

A plein air style watercolor painting class for artists of all skill levels. Elaine Luneke, a passionate instructor of the arts, will guide guests through painting vibrant, blooming Dahlia’s while surrounded by the stunning landscape. These dramatic flowers begin blooming in midsummer and will be sure to inspire! Summer treats and a complimentary glass of Durant Vineyards estate wine is included in ticket.



Shakespeare on the Lawn: The Comedy of Errors

Experience Theatre Project is proud to present The Comedy of Errors performed on the Durant Vineyards Tasting Room lawn. In this classic Shakespeare comedy, guests will enjoy slapstick humor and mistaken identity in addition to puns and word play. Durant Vineyards wine and signature platters will be available for purchase. All ages are welcome – suggested donation of $10 (donated to Experience Theatre Project). Event packages and VIP seating options available.

Join Nursery Specialist, Alanna Lambert, at our series of informal gardening workshops this spring and summer!  Each take place in the nursery where you’ll have easy access to our selection of specialty plants and knowledgable staff.  Come ready to learn and get your hands dirty!

Saturday, April 6 | 11 am – 12 pm: Olive Trees 101

Learn the basics about growing olive trees in your own yard or garden. In this workshop we will introduce the olive varietals we sell, and discuss the best conditions olive trees need to grow successfully in our corner of the Pacific Northwest. Whether you choose to place an olive tree in a pot or plant it in the ground, we will send you with the knowledge you need to help it thrive.

Saturday, April 27 | 11 am – 12 pm: Grapevine Planter

Take home a piece of history from Durant when you make a unique succulent garden from the trunks of our 46 year old Bishop pinot noir vines. In this workshop, you will use a beautiful, gnarly, twisted piece of pinot noir trunk and learn to carve out spaces to plant a variety of hardy succulents. This makes a wonderful centerpiece on an outdoor summer table or a piece of art for your garden.


Saturday,  May 18 | 11 am – 12 pm: Mosquito Repellent Container Garden

We will identify and discuss mosquito repelling herbs and create an attractive container garden to use in your outdoor entertaining spaces. We will also discuss a variety of useful ways to harvest and use the herbs from your container through summer and fall.


Saturday,  June 15 | 11 am – 12 pm: Kokedama Workshop

A clever way to add vertical interest to your garden or patio, Kokedama is a ball of soil covered with moss in which an ornamental plant grows. We will get our hands dirty making these easy and eye catching hanging planters using an assortment of succulents or ferns. Come enjoy learning this Japanese art of displaying plants!


Saturday, July 20 | 11 am – 12 pm: DIY Living Centerpiece 

Create a fun living centerpiece for your outdoor gatherings this summer! We will have an array of living mosses, succulents, rocks and candles for you to create a one of a kind trough style centerpiece for outdoor entertaining.  


Lavender & Herb Wreath Workshop

Learn the basics of growing, caring for, harvesting, and which varieties of lavender are best for both culinary and crafting purposes. Our knowledgeable staff is here to guide you through the process of making a beautiful wreath using bundles of estate lavender, bay, rosemary, sage and oregano. Guests will also enjoy lavender lemonade and other lavender inspired goodies during the class.



Lavender Festival Weekend

We’re celebrating all things lavender! Explore our acres of lavender fields and shop our 50+ varieties of lavender in the nursery. Experience the gift shop, filled to the brim, with our favorite fragrant herb. Lavender bundles are available pre-cut or u-cut. Enjoy lavender lemonade, lemon lavender ice cream cookie sandwiches and lavender shortbread all weekend long.

Chef in My Garden Fundraising Dinner – Durant & Farm Spirit

Growing Gardens first Chef in My Garden fundraising dinner of the series is on Sunday, June 30th and will feature Chef Aaron Adams from Farm Spirit and wines from Durant VineyardsDurant Vineyards and Durant Olive Mill are also generously sponsoring this dinner, and providing Oregon grown olive oil for every dinner of the series. Additionally, the meal will be vegan and showcase all the bounty Pacific Northwest has to offer.

Growing Gardens is an amazing local nonprofit organization doing incredible work throughout Oregon. Not only is this a once in a lifetime dining experience, this is our only fundraising dinner series that we hold during the year. Your generous support ensures a bigger impact in their 3 main programs: Home Gardens, Youth Grow, and Lettuce Grow. If you’d like more information on these programs, check out our website here. At the dinner, you will learn more about our programs and you will have the opportunity to make a donation to support our work.
This dinner will take place in the impressive Mt. Tabor garden of Celine Fitsmaurice and Larry Olson, where Japanese influence meets English garden in an edible landscape. Additionally, you can tour Larry’s studio and immerse yourself in the intimate landscapes of his signature photographs. Guests are encouraged to arrive at 4:00 pm to have time to explore before being seated between 5:00 – 5:30 pm.
