Local Cookbook Signing Series

Join us in our gift shop on select Saturdays from 2 pm to 4 pm for the opportunity meet and purchase a signed copy of some of our favorite cookbook authors. We are thrilled to be able to provide you with this opportunity to meet the women behind the recipes that inspire us. Authors will be providing sample goodies from their cookbook paired with a sampling of Durant Vineyards wine. So bring your friends and enjoy a series of visits out to the property.

Mason Vineyard Dedication

Join us in celebrating the Mason Block, our newest vineyard named for the family who once lived there. In December 2017 we purchased the parcel of land at the base of Breyman Orchards Road from the Mason Family. We have been slowly cultivating the land for vineyard use and will be planting Mt. Eden Pinot Noir later this spring.

On April 13th Paul, Penny and Ken Durant will dedicate our new vineyard, celebrating the legacy of the Mason family. Meet the Masons and toast the occasion with our new release of our 2018 Lark Rosé of Pinot Noir – the first vintage to be made at our new winery. Leave your own legacy by inscribing your name, or the name of a loved one on a plant tag that will live in the Mason Block for years to come. Enjoy live music from 11 – 2 on Saturday. Sit back and enjoy the stunning views from our tasting room all weekend long!

Vault Wine Tasting

A once a year opportunity to taste and purchase perfectly aged, extremely limited, Durant Vineyards library wines. We are excited to open the vault and share these remarkable wines with you.  Each pour is intentionally paired with small bites to accentuate the unique qualities of that wine. Guests are seated, along with a knowledgeable team member, for an intimate exploration of these wines.

Explore what inspires our wine-making style in the past, the present and in the future. Join owner Paul Durant and Winemaker Spencer Spetnagel for exceptionally aged Durant Vineyards library wines, new release Durant Vineyards wines and old world wines that inspire the style in which we craft going forward. Each unique wine is paired with a tapas style plate of complimenting food to elevate the tasting experience and, hopefully, inspire your own wine selection choices. Limited to 20 guests per date.


Indoor Woodland Garden Workshop

Craft a green and growing accent for your winter home.  At this workshop you will use foraged woodland mosses, plants, twigs, spring bulbs, and other organic finds from our property. Use your creativity and aesthetic sense to arrange these natural objects and plants into a beautiful indoor tabletop garden for the new year! Our knowledgeable staff will offer advice for novice gardeners and experienced green thumbs alike. Choose from a wide selection of plants, vessels, and natural materials to create your own one of a kind display. Class includes all materials, Instruction/assistance, your finished woodland tabletop garden to take home, tea and light snacks. Durant Vineyards Wine will be sold by the glass or bottle.

Friday, February 15 | 5 – 8 PM: Anna Gilbert | Durant Olive Mill

Anna Gilbert, a singer-songwriter living in Portland, Oregon. “I’m not an entertainer as much as I am, first & foremost, a storyteller & songwriter,” Gilbert states, “I am a chronic social sponge when it comes to what’s going on around me, but I always try to put the glories & disasters of the human experience into my songs in hopes that it will lift people’s spirits & give them peace in life.”

Lane Norberg is a singer-songwriter from Portland, OR. Growing up in Montana, he learned to play piano & drums, but didn’t begin playing the guitar or singing until college. During these years, Norberg began to play & record mostly cover songs, but soon he was writing his own music & quickly began to gain fans in the area. After graduating from college in 2016, Norberg shifted his focus towards his music career full time.

In this demo style class learn how to make homemade ravioli like a professional.  Follow along as instructor JoMarie Pitino (pasta chef at Ava Gene’s in Portland) demonstrates the entire process including how to make dough, use a pasta roller, and shape ravioli.  After class enjoy a family-style pasta dinner featuring Durant Olive Mill evoo, Apero vinegars, and Durant vineyards estate wines.

About the chef: JoMarie Pitino has been making pasta at Ava Gene’s Restaurant for the past few years and has figured out how to make pasta using beautiful grains grown and milled here in the Pacific Northwest. She hosts classes to teach what she’s learned and showcases the flavor and benefits of using whole grains.

Join us in commemorating the conclusion of winter and the miraculous awakening of spring at our first ever Spring Soiree! A special evening at Durant Vineyards filled with estate wines, live jazz, and appetizers. Sit back and enjoy the syncopated rhythmic patterns of Steve Cook and his jazz ensemble from our fully furnished cigar lounge or tented patio – all decked out in jewel tones that represent the emerging flora of the season. The event will conclude with a special sky lantern release, welcoming the coming growing season with open arms. Semi-formal attire encouraged. Appetizers, entertainment and first pour of wine included with ticket.
